wine co. Introduces its Debut Release
-
2008 un4seen is California's Newest Red Blend That Breaks All
the Rules -
|
Lodi, CA (June 24, 2010) - On July
4th the debut release of un4seen, an unconventional red
blend from Lodi, CA, will be introduced to market. The 'rule-breaking'
wine blends four distinct grape varietals not typically
combined - Zinfandel, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot -
to craft a synergistic wine that proves the sum can be much
greater than the parts.
Crafted by Winemaker David Akiyoshi,
the red blend combines spicy old vine Zinfandel; intense,
inky Malbec; rich, robust Petit Verdot; and lively, lush
Merlot to create a wine of depth with unforeseen layers
in its flavor and aromatic profile. Akiyoshi, a 25-year
winemaking veteran, vinifies each variety individually,
allowing each wine lot to reach its fullest potential before
blending un4seen.
un4seen wine co., based in Lodi, CA, strives to be a pioneer
and leader in sustainable grape-growing and winemaking techniques.
The fruit is sourced from family-owned vineyards that are
committed to sustainable practices and the wine is produced
at a state-of-the-art facility that minimizes waste and
energy consumption.
The 2008 vintage of un4seen aims to challenge winemaking
convention and embrace the philosophy that great wines break
the rules.
